Right. So after a couple of days without posts, here is the next mockup.

This new iPhone Pro mockup, which many are already dubbing the “iClamshell” features a screen cover that doubles as a keyboard when you flip it open. Not a bad idea at all — if this were 1999. It’s now 2009, when are we going to move on from what I can’t help think is becoming the adult equivalent of a pacifier — a physical keyboard?

So, this is the first software mockup I have posted and its a good one! Simple, yet effective, it shows how easily Apple could really improve its locked screen.

This mockup was made before the announcement of the iPhone, based on the patent drawings at the time! Even better, the site I found it on states “I’d expect the final product to look pretty close to this:“. I’m glad the iPhone was a bit different to this!

iPhone Duo

Whilst visually not as good as the previous mockup, it’s an interesting concept nonetheless.

Transparent iPhone

I know its only the second post, but already this is my favourite mockup.

This mock-up by Robert Davis of Cornelius, North Carolina, is thin, lightweight and crystal clear. It runs a full version of Leopard (not a stripped-down one) and has a 5-megapixel camera. Not very realistic — or practical — but pretty.

So, my first post, and the first mockup.

This mockup is showing a “Pro” version of the iPhone, which is much wider that the traditional iPhone and features a Mac OS, as opposed to the iPhone OS.
